Lovely views from the restaurant!
Our check-in experience was a nightmare! The gondola was shut down, leaving us stranded in the rain with our luggage because no taxis were available. Once we finally checked in, we discovered our room had a separate bathroom, far from ideal. To add insult to injury, the cleanliness was questionable, as we found smashed bugs on the walls. Dinner was a complete disappointment. The food was not only unappetizing but also gave me an awful stomach reaction.

A charming hotel, my first choice in Grindelwald. Clean place with mountain views and extremely great staff. Attentive service throughout my stay. Marvellous and fantastic location, steps away from First Mountain Cart. Alpine atmosphere, excellent restaurant for the view and a bite at the restaurant...
Breakfast cold.

Breakfast with a Cappucino and delicious bread and stellar views. Set right next to a cable car station.

It was just a decent option for a quick stop in Grindelwald with a great value-to-price ratio. The cold buffet breakfast had local selections that were fresh and flavorful. Make sure to inquire about mattress comfort if you're a light sleeper.

What a perfect location! The hotel is located at the top of a peak above the busy tourist town of Grindelwald. The town is quite touristy, but the hotel is quite and peaceful. During the summer, you can drive to it; in the winter you must take the cable car from town. So, tourists come up during the day during the summer to see the beautiful views, hike, eat the wonderful food at the restaurant and children play on the great playground. But when the cable car stops running, it is blissfully peaceful. The food at the restaurant was really a treat, too. Lovely food, great service and even a menu for children.

I have stayed in superior quadruple room for 2 nights, it was complete with an unbelievable view and a private bathroom and excellent water pressure. Some of the staff members were efficient. The location was beautiful and fantastic next to waterfall and the atmosphere was alpine!

very nice view to a glacier, good for people who want to hike or ski.
A little bit difficult to reach by car since the road is very narrow. It can be easily reached by gondola. However, you can hardly find it by GPS when driving. Fortunately, the hotel sent us a taxi showing us the right way to the hotel.

Fine views and cozy accommodations
We spent 2 nights in a Double Room with Eiger Mountain View and were thrilled with the amazing vistas right from our window. The access to hiking trails was superb and the restaurant served wonderful traditional Swiss fare. I did wish they provided more towels in our room, as it felt a bit lacking for a family stay.

family with 3 older boys. what a good location, I was worried about the location as it is not in town and a fair walk. Fortunately I didn't change and this turned out a highlight. Location was superb, views to die for. It was quiet this suited us as we are a quiet mob. T
The food could improve, breakfast was great but dinner a bit limited, could have been better quality for a few franc more (Switzerland is already expensive).
